PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS 2003

    Elections for the President of the Republic of Armenia will be held on February 19, 2003, as per by Articles 50-52 of the Constitution and by Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia. As required by the appropriate provisions of the Electoral Code, one electoral precinct was established in Canada on January 4, 2003, to allow the citizens of the Republic of Armenia residing in Canada on temporary or permanent basis to cast their ballots in the Presidential election.
   
     In order to vote at the electoral precincts in Canada, the citizens of the Republic of Armenia who are eligible to vote (of age 18 and above) need to register for the election at the Embassy of Armenia:

    The completed Voter Registration form can be submitted in person or by mail, and cannot be presented by telephone or fax. The citizens who will have registered to vote by February 17, 2003, will be included in the main voters list, and the citizens who will register on February 18-19, 2003, will be included in the supplementary voters list.On the election day, February 19, 2003, the voters can vote between the hours of 8 am and 8 p.m. (8:00 - 20:00) at the Embassy Of Armenia by appearing in person and presenting their passports.
